Songcatcher is my long-term heart-eyes movie and I am so excited that I wasn't the only one who signed up for it this year! If that's what we matched on, I would love a.) fix-it fic for the ending where Harriet comes back eventually (and hearing what she was doing in the meantime!) or b.) fic about Elna and Harriet both being gay activist dorks in 1907. Please no rape/noncon, A/B/O or other heavy kinks. I love these two being OTP, with both intellectual and emotional comradery, and feelings that go deep deep deep. Here for sex scenes or for fade-to-black romance with no sex scenes.

Parable Series - Octavia Butler
Requested characters: Tori Mora, Doe Mora, May (Parable of the Talents), Zahra Moss
I requested several different characters whose stories sort of go off in several different directions in my mind. I would love to see Tori and Doe together in a fic where they're processing/recovering from what happened to them at Camp Christian -- no incest, please, but something focusing on the incredibly strong bond that they have and how they get each other through. For May, I was really interested in the idea that she may have gotten out with Kassia and Mercy: how would she make her way in the world, a mute woman caring for two young girls? Did she ever try to tell anyone what happened to Acorn? Where does she go from there? As for Zahra, I just really like her and would be happy either with backstory fic for her or with fix-it fic where she doesn't die in the Camp Christian takeover, because that shit hurts. If none of these ideas appeal to you, feel free to mix and match the characters in any combinations you like and write about anything at all and I'll be happy, because I love these books and there's so much room for character exploration and worldbuilding.

Wrt these two, I've wondered whether Selina's relationship with Margaret was strictly emotionless because she knew she could manipulate and use Margaret, or whether she might have some emotional conflict about it. Ruth has clearly been manipulating Selina, and I wonder whether Selina is okay with that or whether there might be part of her that rebels, and whether that rebellious part might be sorry for what she's done to Margaret or even wishing she could have pursued a relationship with her. I could honestly go either way on this so it's your decision, but basically I'm interested in an exploration of Selina and Margaret's relationship from Selina's perspective. Another plotbunny that occurred to me once is that at the end of the novel, Margaret is about to make her second suicide attempt, and we've seen a character in the novel who was sent to Millbank for making suicide attempts. I understand that Margaret's wealth and status have shielded her from being treated like that, but she's lost her money at the end and her family must be incredibly frustrated with her; might she wind up in Millbank after all, or else in an asylum or something? How would Selina feel if that happened?

I don't mean any of these prompts to be prescriptive; if you have a different idea you want to go with for any of them, please feel free.
